General goals of the Training:
It is proposed to hold a three hours workshop to train mental
health professionals for the Psychosocial Rehabilitation and
community mental health programs for the mentally ill patients
in and out of the hospital
Objectives of this workshop are;
1. To understand basic principles of psychosocial rehabilitation
and its difference from psychiatric treatment.
2. To understand various psychosocial and community mental
health programs
3. To develop skills and up-to-date psychosocial rehabilitation
techniques
4. To develop strategy to implement psychosocial rehabilitation
programs in the inpatients unit or community mental health
facilities.
At the end of this lesson, participants should be able to:
1. Have a more accurate understanding of psychosocial
rehabilitation for the patients with mental illness.
2. Understand the principles and core skills of psychosocial
rehabilitation
3. Be confident to run psychosocial rehabilitation program in
clinical setting
